thanks for sharing. What you said really resonated. Even though I didn’t do a ton for the Obama campaign ( I volunteered a few hours to remind people to vote and get involved with Knock for Barack) so many people I know poured their heart and soul into this. Don Miller, you, my dad, my sister, Jon Sustar who gave his LIFE to UT students for Obama. So when so many people write the notes and statuses they are putting on facebook, I know what you mean. It sort of stings.

You told me when I was down about the election to cheer up because Barack was going to win. And he did! I am telling you now to cheer up because HE IS our President elect. And that is amazing. All we can do for the haters is show them that we will NOT hate, not on Barack, and not on them. Loving is hard, especially when you feeling like people are spitting in their face. But Jesus can help us. I refuse to add to the ignorance and intolerance by being bothered by it. So when you’re down, just remember that there are a LOT of people on our side who understand why we voted for who we voted for and why we are excited.
